One year ago today, our daughter Chloe was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Since that day, she has had 6 surgeries, including 3 brain surgeries totaling over 30 hours, 40 radiation treatments, 14 MRIs, 8 CTs, over 50 x-rays, countless other medical procedures, lost over 20% of her body weight, suffered temporary and permanent nerve damage and side effects from the tumor/surgeries/radiation, thrown up more times than I can count,and grown up much faster than any kid should ever have to.

Since that day, she has cried, laughed, fought and had a lot of fun with her brother and sister, fired the thrusters and flown in an airplane, played with a princess, pet and fed dolphins, played a real life game of Candyland, danced, turned 8, ran through a swamp, caught crayfish and frogs, rode a horse, gotten in trouble, made us laugh, started a serious Build a Bear collection, become an American Girl enthusiast, gone swimming, grown 4 inches, gained most of her weight back, met lots of incredible and kind people, become a master at Toontown, watched hours of Stoogeapalooza and Svengoolie, met Svengoolie, adopted a hamster named ZuZu and a bunny named Chub Butt, gone to the Zoo, gone to the beach, eaten thousands of tomatoes, cooked, baked, snuggled, been very silly and very sweet.
